If you are longing to travel, venture out with our “Island Hopping” Charcuterie Kit, featuring our Hoguera Uncured Spreadable Chorizo. The savory and spicy Hoguera (“bonfire”) is our take on the traditional Spanish Sobrassada hailing from Majorca, an island in the Mediterranean Sea. Once a year Majorcans celebrate Las Hogueras de San Juan with beach bonfires, fireworks, parades and parties across the island! Our Hoguera Uncured Spreadable Chorizo is paired with Ohio-made Apollo, inspired by Spanish Mahon-style cheese from the island of Minorca, just a hop from Majorca. A delightful Grilled Peaches and Spiced Rum Preserves completes your charcuterie adventure!
Shipping is free on all orders of $34.99 or more. Due to COVID-19, please allow 1-2 days for order processing and another 1-3 days for shipping (depending on your shipping address).
Yes!! Mold is a necessary part of our traditional curing process and is very similar to mold on cheeses like Brie. It’s harmless and safe to eat. The mold is a living organism and it is most commonly white. However, it is variable and can evolve into many colors from bright white to dark green to dark blue. Most importantly, it's all normal, it’s all part of the traditional meat curing process and it’s all safe to eat. However, sometimes it doesn't look very nice!
The easiest way to get rid of the mold is to peel off the natural casing or wipe off the mold with a damp cloth.
